Rebuild Your Virtual Business.com
Seminar March 6-8, 2009 in Austin, TX for entrepreneurs who might be overwhelmed by technology, helping them reach customers world-wide and create the systems and team they need to have a purposeful and profitable online business. An online business is quickly becoming one of the most successful ways to reach customers worldwide and rise above the current economic situation - but it works for some, and it doesn't work for others. If you want to be in the "works for" category, approach your online business with a good vision and careful planning. Then get the help you need to handle the things that you're not comfortable doing yourself. It's no secret that the financial markets are in turmoil and that many people have lost money, or are losing it. It's also no secret that to thrive in a market such as this, most people are looking for ways to reduce their overhead and maximize their profits. "A good part of the fear people are having over the economy is media-driven. There's always a window of opportunity during difficult times, and the World Wide Web can broaden that window in so many ways." says Ann Collins, professional project manager and business woman of 20 years. When your business is on the internet, you're truly offering your products and services to the entire world, and you're not limited to any geographic area. But if setting up shop on the Internet is such a good idea, why isn't everyone who puts up a website wildly successful? All you have to do is throw a website up, put your products on line and the money will start rolling in. Right? "Well - not exactly. Like any other business; you need customers. Getting visitors to your site is a lot like getting people to come into a brick and mortar business," says Michelle Casto, Ph.D. People need to know that your site exists, and you need to find ways to keep them coming back to visit you. Just because you're working online doesn't mean you can overlook professionalism, and good marketing principles. You also need the systems in place to take orders, distribute your products, and communicate effectively with your customers. Many - if not all - of these systems are automated and require some level of technical knowledge to set up. What do you do if you don't have that knowledge? Just like any other aspect of starting a business, you find a trustworthy person to handle those things for you. Most people fail on line for one (or all) of 3 reasons: Either they are not coming from a place of purpose, they become overwhelmed by the complexity of all the pieces required and give up, or they don't put the planning and forethought that's needed to get all the systems running smoothly and working toward their vision of an online business. In any case, they can wind up needing to rebuild their virtual business after they've started building it - sort of like someone who's decided to remodel their own house, only to find out that they've got to call in a pro. When it is Time for a Change, It's Time for a Coach
There is an innate drive within each of that moves us forward on a personal and spiritual path. The process of personal and spiritual transformation starts with individual growth and proceeds toward growth that engages our souls and encourages us to become what I call called in esoteric terms "soul-centered". This means that we become less driven by our personality and ego needs and more guided by our soul qualities. This process has also been called "The Hero's Journey" or "The Self-Actualization Process." It begins with a "awakening" or "wake up call" usually in the form of disappointment or disaster that shakes us out of our trance and causes us to look again at our lives and re-evaluate if who we are and what we are doing is serving our deepest self. We maybe for the first time in our lives stop seeing the material world as the own reality and start to wonder if there is not something more. This marks the initial "challenge to grow" that our soul initiates within us. Perhaps you are undergoing such a calling right now. And wonder who can help you or what you can do. There is something and someone that I personally know who has been there and done that many times over, yours truly. I have walked through the fires of confusion, loss, anger, sadness due to divorce, job changes, financial challenges, and lack of a strong emotional support network. I believe I have had these experiences so that I could show YOU the way and for others who are going through "the storms of life" now. The time is now for transformation. It is a new era and we are poised with the opportunity to bring in a new consciousness, and co-create a new reality. Why? Because the light within each of us has been turned on, and it's our job to turn that light on brighter and brighter until all false thought forms dissolve in the light of our Truth. I have 3 levels of Soul Coaching:
Soul Awakening
Soul Purpose
Soul Mastery Each one building on the last and increasing your personal activation. As I evolve myself and my coaching practice, entrance into the Soul Purpose and Soul Mastery levels will be contingent on experiencing the Awakening level, so we will be on the same page with our philosophy and language. Coaching is the universal language of change and growth and accelerates your success. It is what works!

The Day I Decided a Job Was Too Small for My Soul
by Michelle L. Casto, Ph.D For a few years, I desperately tried to fit a square peg in a round hole in the corporate environment. And guess what, it was not pretty. During that time, I thought there was something wrong with me because I had all the worldly success symbols--- college degrees, a good job with a big name company, benefits, etc, and yet; I was miserable. In fact, the whole situation was making me sick. The culture was toxic---politics and favorites reigned supreme. I am sure you know what I am talking about. I just about burned myself out in my twenties, just going to work, coming home, falling into bed, and doing it all again day after day. I especially resented how my time was dictated, especially my days off. I found out later that many organizations, just like families, are highly dysfunctional and those who know how to play the game get rewarded, while those with integrity and heart, are seen as threats to the system (aka status quo). I once got reprimanded for being too passionate! I told the supervisor, "I thought I was supposed to care about my job and those that I serve!" I knew I was in trouble when I kept having dreams about work that would wake me in the middle of the night! The real deal breaker, though, was when my personal values conflicted with the organization's values---they seemed willing to do just about anything to make a buck. For me, the typical 9-5 work situation felt more like a self-created prison. I held the belief then and certainly do now, that work not only could be fun, it was supposed to be fun. I knew I had to find something else or I was going to be unhappy for a really long time---like my whole life. I decided very early on in my career that I was not going to find what I was looking for in a traditional work environment. One day, I woke up and just said, Today I choose to be happy. I Quit my job and have not looked back since. Gratefully, I followed my inner guidance and was led to Life Coaching. Over the course of these years, I have had many wonderful mentors and coaches, and all have helped me grow in different ways. That was over 15 years ago, and Coaching is the best job on the planet for me because I get to help people clarify and claim their dreams. And then we work together in partnership as those dreams become their new reality. Of course, being self-employed also has its good days and bad days, positives and negatives. However, I would not my freedom for any amount of money in the world. Everyday I wake up and thank God for the work that I do, the people I work with, and the lifestyle it affords me. You can have the same experience just by being willing to learn a new way of life. The following article is by Jim Rohn and was published in his weekly ezine.
Each of us has two distinct choices to make about what we will do with our lives. The first choice we can make is to be less than we have the capacity to be. To earn less. To have less. To read less and think less. To try less and discipline ourselves less. These are the choices that lead to an empty life. These are the choices that, once made, lead to a life of constant apprehension instead of a life of wondrous anticipation. And the second choice? To do it all! To become all that we can possibly be. To read every book that we possibly can. To earn as much as we possibly can. To give and share as much as we possibly can. To strive and produce and accomplish as much as we possibly can. All of us have the choice. To do or not to do. To be or not to be. To be all or to be less or to be nothing at all. Like the tree, it would be a worthy challenge for us all to stretch upward and outward to the full measure of our capabilities. Why not do all that we can, every moment that we can, the best that we can, for as long as we can? Our ultimate life objective should be to create as much as our talent and ability and desire will permit. To settle for doing less than we could do is to fail in this worthiest of undertakings. Results are the best measurement of human progress. Not conversation. Not explanation. Not justification. Results! And if our results are less than our potential suggests that they should be, then we must strive to become more today than we were the day before. The greatest rewards are always reserved for those who bring great value to themselves and the world around them as a result of who and what they have become. Is Your Spirit Working? By Michelle L. Casto
In every community there is work to be done. In every nation there are wounds to heal. In every heart there is power to do it. ---Marianne WilliamsonConfucius once said, Choose a career you love and you will never work another day in your life. If you think about this, what a different experience we could have in our work lives. If we actually loved the work we were doing, it would not seem so much like our traditional concept of work (drudgery/pain). Think about it! How many jobs have you had that you dreaded going to? What are some of the differences between a job, a career, and your life work? Let us define it.
A job is something you get paid to do (money is the primary motivation). It is easy to perform because there is not much challenge, and you will eventually find other work to do.
It may or may not fully engage you. Spirit may or may not be present.
A career is something you get paid to do that is viewed as a profession (status or identity is the motivation). It may provide more challenge, but after a while, you may get burned out, and choose to stop doing it.
It may or may not fully engage you. Spirit may or may not be present.
Your life work is something you do whether you get paid for it or not (your souls need for expression is the motivation). There is plenty of challenge and personal meaning. You will always want to do it.
It definitely fully engages you. Spirit is present.
Remember that a job can get you started toward your life work. In fact, jobs provide the very important element of exposure to different kinds of industries. Take for example, a woman who started out working in a department store as a clerk, who moved into a management position, and finally created her life work as an independent contractor who trains others in customer service skills.
To find out if your spirit is working, place a check next to the statements that sound like you in your present work environment.
Using your life force Sharing innate gifts and talents Doing work that is meaningful and fulfilling In service to other human beings Your inner light shines You are standing up for something you believe in World benefits from what you do You have a unique way of doing it Creativity, passion, and purpose are present Your intentions and actions match You are propelled by a larger life purpose Integration of being and doing (balance of feminine and masculine energies) Soul leads you through the process (there are no instructions, no right or wrong way!) You feel lost and unsure of how to make it happen Fully engaged, frequent moments of flow & inspiration You are stepping into your Greatness Increased awareness and sensitivity Deeper thoughts, higher level thinking Questioning the status quo You feel energized after a hard day at work Inner feelings of peace & contentment (like you have found the right path) Non-traditional, shatters the box (requires you to venture into unknown territory) Opportunity to really express who you really are Desire to be surrounded or create beauty Freedom to do it your own way Discovering skills and talents you never knew you had Being scared sometimes Desire to right things You feel turned on, lit up, excited, enthusiastic No longer want to settle for ordinary or mediocrity Longing for change and newness Broader perspective, see more of the big picture Shift to wanting to learn more , be more, and do more Relying more on intuition to make life decisions
***The more checks you have, the more your spirit is at work.
Spiritual work elevates society and is personally fulfilling. When your spirit is working, you are sharing more of who you really are. As a result your work is performed from a level of love, a higher energy and true sense of purpose, which transforms everyone and everything around you.
